  1. Multimedia can be used to reinforce skills to facilitate student learning, to collect information regarding the completion of student tasks, and to prepare instructional materials for the next day.

  2. Multimedia is the utilization of various functions of media outlets that are linked with technology, including, but not limited to, audio, video, text, still images, animations, and video footage. One such example is the use of Powerpoint, which allows students to see a given set of information in an organized, neat, and departmentalized fashion. Moving forward, another example of media is hooking up a computer to a television screen. This technology allows the given classroom to be able to easily see instruction, information, or media, even if the classroom has only one computer. This ability to mass transport information to a large group with a single tool is a powerful asset for any educator. Thirdly, and lastly, the ability to utilize audio resources in the classroom. Now, prior to this, only video aspects were discussed, but the audio aspect of multimedia must not be overlooked. Many students learn through the act of hearing, instead of seeing. This thought must be entertained and remembered for the sake of successful education in a classroom. Some examples of audio media include soundbytes, music, CD's, tapes, records, clips, and parts of a news broadcast. Multimedia in education has advanced the fields greatly over the last decade. Several lines of research and multimedia for use in the classroom have evolved, such as online almanacs, encyclopedias, and CBT's (or computer-based training) leaving the possibilities for education through media to be nearly endless.

  4. Multimedia, by definition, is sequential or simultaneous use of a variety of media formats in a given presentation or self-study program. Multimedia can be used in many ways. It can be used in the form of the computer. Students can use computers to gain more knowledge while also having fun. Multimedia can be used in the form of music. If a teacher plays music in the classroom, this can be a way of making learning more interesting for the students. Mulitmedia can also be used in the form of pictures. When a teacher is presenting a lesson, they may want to incorporate pictures which would help those students who are visual learners to learn better.

  5. Multimedia is sequential or simultaneous use of a variety of media formats in a given presentation of self-study program. One form of this is the use of Power Point. Power Point is a great way to utilize various forms of media such as videos, photos, and audio clips. Using these types of media within in your Power Point presentation offers the ability to really enhance your presentation.

Another way to use multimedia effectively is being able to present such programs on a greater scale. You could do this by using a projector. This allows your presentation to visually reach the entire class, while also enhancing the learning because now the presentation has become a part of the environment, the learners can actually see it and understand it.

Another way that multimedia can be effectively used is through hands on learning. By this I mean allowing the learners to actually get experience with such programs and how to incorporate different forms of media into these different programs. This gives the learners skills that are necessary in an ever growing world that is revolved around computers and other different forms of technology.

  6. Multimedia can be used in many different ways. In a classroom setting it can be used in three different ways. Those ways include (though specifically not limited to): researching (aquiring information), displaying information, and for instructional use. For researching, the internet is an excelent tool. You can search for academic journals, websites, and just about everything for data, and information needed on a research project. For Displaying Information, PowerPoint and Excel are both wonderful tools depending on what you are teaching. During lecture PowerPoints would probably be for the best, say for a History or Science class. You will be able to display the major points, and allow the entire class to see (with use of a overhead projector). Excel is a good tool to display data, and graphs for lets say Math and Science classes. It gives good organizations and shows neatness and creativity that students enjoy. For instructional use, Word is a good form of tool, because you will be able to display it over an over head, and Word easily can organize the instructions as an outline. Each of these uses can be used for visual, auditory, and even hands-on learners because each learner has a different way of learning and processing and when you include all of it (hands-on: looking up and taking notes, auditory: listening to the lecture, visual: seeing the displays, outlines, and graphs), it can prove to be very inspiring not only for the students but for the teacher as well.

  7. Multimedia can be used in many different ways in a classroom. Some of those ways are using multimedia by video, power point, and audio. Videos can be shared with the class as a reference to what the topic of learning is or as a tool to show improvements from the beginning of a topic to the end. The students will be able to see how much they have improved with a lesson by seeing directly comparisons in a made video. Power point can be a very helpful multimedia tool with the fact that so much can be done with power point to prove points. Pictures and other visuals can be created for the students to see topics of discussion or specific things they will be learning. Audio is also a good way for students to learn. An example of this could be hearing instructions directly from the teacher in a voice recording. The students could take a voice recorder home and have the teachers voice be a guide to homework or specific things they are to be working on.

  8. Multimedia can be used in a variety of ways in the classroom. On way multimedia can be portrayed is by incorporating videos, and animation into lessons. Showing your students a video on a specific lesson is a type of multimedia. Another example of multimedia in the classroom is the Microsoft Office package. So Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel can be useful tools for students to learn how to use. They can be used to create projects, and used to present as well. A third example of multimedia in the classroom is using music and sounds in your classroom. Even just playing a song quietly while your students are working on a task sometimes changes the students attitude towards an assignment. Multimedia is a great thing to incorporate into your classroom!

  9. Multimedia can be used for multiple things in the classroom. I'll just give you three. At the most basic level of multimedia would be showing the class a video on TV. Going farther up the ladder would be using slides, whether they be on PowerPoint or an old slide projector. Some other multimedia would be those great websites that involve participating in online lessons

  10. Multimedia can be used for problem solving and cooperative learning strategies. This can be in the form of the different softwares that are available. Another use of multimedia is for explaining things that are better understood when shown rather than told. Also multimedia can be used to gather information.

  11. Multimedia can be used effectively in many ways in the classroom through teaching, learning, and evaluating.
To use media to teach, professors can use media such as powerpoint to clearly organize their lesson.
In using media for learning, the children can use media such websites or programs on the computer as games that challange them.
When using media to evaluate, websites and games are the most common ways I've seen. They usually look for the student to get a certain score in order to pass.

  12. Three types of media that can be used in the classroom are Newspaper, Television, and the internet. Student can find articles in the newspaper that pertain to topics they are learning about in class. Television can be used to show a video dealing with the curriculum. The internet can be used in multiple areas of the classroom curriculum. One way the internet can be used is through video chats online. Students from different countries can communicate with one another and learn about different cultures.

  13. Using multimedia in the classroom is becoming a popular way to teach. There are many different ways to use multimedia, and at different levels.
One example of how you can use multimedia in the classroom is by hands on instructions from the students themselves. In my third grade class we used the computers to research authors of a chosen book. It allowed students to use their own computer skills, plus new ones when the teacher offered help.
A second way that multimedia can be used in the classroom is when a teacher uses a power point or a visual to aid in the help of a lesson. When students are able to not only hear about a lesson but see a visual too, it gives them motivation and intrigues their interest.
The third way that multimedia can be used in the classroom is by showing programs that are either on the internet or on a taped program. In 4th grade, every Friday we would watch a news channel that was written on a kid based level. Watching the program allowed students to relate better than if they just heard it.
These are just three examples of how multimedia can be used. Throughout different schools, teachers are using their heads and creating extravagant lessons with multimedia. From students creating and presenting their own power points, to writing their own books, the options are endless.

  14. Multimedia is defined as sequential or simultaneous use of a variety of media formats in a given presentation or self study program. It is becomming used more and more in the classroom.

Using technology in the classroom is very innovative because you can use computers for your students to learn. You can use computers for students to drill and practice on subjects.Students can also use the computer to create e-portfolios for themselves.

As the teacher, you can use multimedia in the classroom by using the computer to create lesson plans for your students and to record and keep observations of your students. Then you can help them improve.

  16. One way to use multimedia in the classroom is computer assisted instruction, like Math Blaster for example. Another way to use multimedia is for concept development. A teacher can have students use Inspiration to develop an outline for a paper, or project. One last way to use multimedia in the classroom is to display information to the students in an organized fashion by using PowerPoint.

  17. Multimedia in the classroom can be used in several ways. It can be used through the use of word processing and desktop publishing. This will help with completing paper assignments that require specific formatting. Another way is as a graphic tool. This will allow the children to design and create graphics as an activity or to be used to complete classroom computer projects. And another way would be as a creative tool. This allows student to take texts, graphics, images, audio, and video to create some very exciting representations of their learning.

  18. Multimedia can be used for a variety of things in the classroom. Just three of those things include videos, PowerPoint presentations, and online games. Videos are something different that are used to inform students more about a particular subject or help to explain something else. Videos also serve as a great way to present or conclude lessons. PowerPoint presentations are great for visual learners. Also PowerPoints can be used by both the teacher and the students. The PowerPoint software is a great tool for student s to use in order to create their own projects and then present them to the class. Lastly, online games serve as a source of learning that is also fun. Students will love the fact that they are actually allowed to play games in class and will even forget that they are learning in the process.

  19. Three ways you can use multimedia in the class room, one would be PowerPoint. A good tool to use while teaching your lesson, but also a great tool for the students to use. Another way would be computer games, online or not, that help the students in the areas they are currently studying in. Another way is movies. Movies are always a great visual tool that can help make your lesson greater.

  20. One way you can use multimedia in the classroom is to use powerpoint to have students create presentations or to simply reemphsize any points you have said. Another way is to use videos to aid in the teaching of the lesson you are currently discussing. The last way you could use multimedia is to have kids make video projects as a way to see if they understand the information.

  21. You can use media to present a lesson to the students through a program like powerpoint using a slideshow presentation, to present lesson reinforcement through educational computer games, and through educational videos which can also reinforce information students have learned throughout the chapter.

  22. There are many ways that teachers can incorporate multimedia into the classroom. Microsoft Word can be used or the sudents to complete assignments. Powerpoint can be used as a way to teach material to the students by using text, audio and video. Students can also be assigned to design their own PowerPoint presenations as well. Online learning games are also a great way for your students to get involved with their own learning by using multimedia.

  23. Children are so diverse and each individual learns in their own way. Some children can absorb an entire lesson after hearing a teacher talk, while others must physically act something out in order to understand how it works. Other children may need to visually see something in order to understand how it works. These children would benefit the most from multimedia in the classroom. There is a variety of ways that multimedia can be integrated into a classroom, such as in a powerpoint presentation. This allows a teacher to visually display the information they are discussing with the students in a fun and interesting way. Also, interactive computer software can allow children to go back in time and act as if they were someone else. A prime example of this is the game, Oregon Trail, where children get to act like pioneers and travel across the United States on the Oregon Trail. Yet another way to incorporate multimedia into the classroom is through graphic organizers and charts. This allows children to really visualize the relationship between certain things and further their understanding of the lesson.

  24. Last year I had to shadow a 5th grade science class. The teacher incorporated the smartboard into many of her lessons. She used a program called "Brain Pop." The students watched a short video on each section of the chapter and had a worksheet they had to fill out. At the end of each video there were 10 questions and students were chosen to go up to the board and pick the answer. I thought that this was a fantastic way to use multimedia in the classroom. All of the students were very motivated and involved during class and they contributed a lot during class discussions. I don't know if you have heard of Brain Pop--if you would like to check it out go to: http://www.brainpop.com
