  1. Inspiration differentiates instruction for different learning styles by allowing the students to see up close how to complete an outline. Some students might be able to watch a teacher construct an outline and pick up the concept, but some students need to practice doing outlines to master the concept which this program will do. This program does increase skills in concept development because this will help students to develop their ideas and oraganize them without getting jumbled. Also, this will help students reinforce thier skills of doing outlines because they will be constructing outlines throughout their academic careeer and possibly in the work place. The name of the company that publishes this product is Inspiration Software. I will use this software in my classroom when the students have a research paper to do so they organize the information in a proper way.

  3. I particularly like the diagram to text feature pictured on page 131 in our text. Outlining can be an unenjoyable and monotonous task and the Inspiration software makes this easier. Inspiration is published by Inspiration Software, Inc. I would use this software in my classroom to aid my students in organizing information and as an aid to memory building exercises.

  4. I like your idea to use Inspiration as a memory building exercise! It can, of course, be used to outline and organize faster, as well as promote cricital thinking and writing skills, however certainly it can be used as a memory building exercise. I would also like to see this software put to use in classrooms more often, and regret that I had not come across it earlier while I was in school.

  5. Power point differiniate from all other because it muti tasks everything that one might need to instruct their students needs. This progrem will increase concept development by being able to show and distribute their ideas in a way that other will understand what they are trying to introduce. Microsoft is the engineer of power Point. I would use this software in note preperation, video distibution and homework preperation.

  6. Microsoft Excel differentiates instruction for different learning styles by it can be used for students of all learning styles. Not only is it a visual aid, it can also be used for audio learning if you have a recording or something and they put the information into the spreadsheet. These are just a few example of how is is useful for all types of learning styles. It increases skill in all of those areas because it reinforces the importance of keeping organized and it is an easy way to see the progression of a math problem situation. Also, it develops the student's organizational skills since they could use it to keep track of all the movies they own, how much they could spend a week from their bank account, or just uise it to organize thier schedules if they want to. It can be used for certain math problems. Not only will it organize it, but i will be able to help them figure it out by using the features on excel to help with the solution. Microsoft is the one that developed the software. I could use this in my classroom by letting the stidents use it to organize the vocablary and the different tenses that they come in so that way it is easy to use, and they have a reference if they ever need to look it up. It can als be used for the articles in case they need to know if a word ins nominative, accusative, or dative.

  7. Today I am going to talk about Powerpoint as a Computer Assisted Instruction Program. I think powerpoint is great for different learning styles for many reasons. The changing of slides is very good for keeping the students attention, because kids, especially those in k-6, tend to be able to focus on tasks for shorter amounts of time. So, the changing slides are great for that. Also, having the students pay attention to the slides is good for those who are visual learners, while adding audio to the slides is good for auditory learners. For tactile and kinisthetic learners, creating pwoerpoints is a good assignment because it is hands on and they are learning through making a powerpoint of their own, which can be very rewarding.

  8. I would also like to use Inspiration in my classroom. After doing a little research about the benefits of concept mapping, I think it would be a valuable tool in developing young minds. Just google 'child concept mapping' and you'll have a long list of research studies focused on the cognitive processes developed through mapping. I thought most interesting was the studies using kindergarteners, simply because of the obvious potential for growth in cognitive functioning.
The Inspiration software facilitates different types of learning with its versatility and ease of use. By allowing students to be creative in the way they present their map, web, or outline, it encourages participation. Which at least guarantees the meta-cognitive development that all those studies talk about.

  9. The CAI software that I am choosing to talk about is power point. This program differentiates instruction for different learning styles by being a program that students can be hands on with and can create their own project with. The students are also engaged with this program through it being a visual aid. This program increases many learning concepts such as concept development by serving the purpose of a video program, picture project or informational tool. Microsoft publishes power point. I would use power point in my classroom as a guide for the students to make their own projects using this software. This would show the students what all they can created in power point and they would be learning how to use a beneficial program that could be used for the rest of their lives. I would also use power point as a way to teach my lessons. I could have the chapters separated out into slides and have pictures and other visuals incorporated into the slides so the students stay engaged in what I would be trying to teach.

  14. There are many different types of Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) and a good example of this that many students already have knowledge of is PowerPoint. PowerPoint is made by Microsoft and this is a very common tool used in the classrooms by many teachers for speeches, presentations, and for their students to give a report. PowerPoint is also used by the teachers to present their lesson plans to the class in a fun a creative way. I feel that PowerPoint is very effective in the fact that it grabs the attention more than just a plain word document. It allows for more freedom in the presentation and makes it more interesting. The great thing about this is it is usually already installed on the computers so it doesn't have to be purchased. I would use this in my classroom to teach my lectures and it is very easy to follow and understand.

  15. I chose Power Point. I think it differentiate instruction for learners that are visual. It can be an effective way to help the student understand what is being taught. Power Point allows the student to easily remember the content,it helps to hold the students attention and allows them to be apart of the learning process. This media increases skills in knowledge reinforcement, by showing verbal messages, or using recall learning. Students are apt to remember visual media than written messages. It draws their attention and allows them to focus on specific points. Recall allows the students to activate prior knowledge stored in long-term memory. This helps them to know what should have been learned. I believe Power Point is published by Microsoft. I can possibly use Power Point as a tutorial in my classroom. It can be an effective way to help with learning. This allows teacher-student interaction, it can increase the students abilities to use technology, it can allow them to be more interactive with the lesson, and help initiate a positive learning experiences.

  16. There are many types of CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction) that can be used in the classroom, but the most successful is Microsoft PowerPoint. PowerPoint is a wonderful tool for a classroom that had multiple different learning styles. This is because PowerPoint is easy to maneuver and work with and it also allows learners to go at their own pace, rather than to struggle to keep up with other students. PowerPoint is also a very visual program. This is good for the visual learners because then can learn by seeing and then repeating .Also since PowerPoint has features such as sounds and animations it makes it easier to engage student interest. Microsoft is the company that publishes PowerPoint. I would use PowerPoint in my classroom when presenting a new lesson and for notes.

  17. I would use PowerPoint.I think that it differentiates instruction for different learning styles by the different approaches you can use. It can be very visual for visual learnings, by adding graphics and video, or it can be just the main points. It can be used as an outline also. I think it does increase the skills in knowledge reinforcement. When you teach a class with PowerPoint, they can see the slide, hear what you are saying, and write it down; this helps reinforce the knowledge to them. The company that publishes PowerPoint is Microsoft. I will be using PowerPoint in my classroom. I think it is a great tool to teach the students with, and also a great tool for the students to learn how to use for their own projects.

  23. One CAI software is Microsoft PowerPoint. This software differentiates instruction for different learning styles because it gives the user te ability to not only display and create text, but also to create visuals, as well as inserting audio. This software can increase skills in knowledge reinforcement because being able to see information can make it easier to retain information and recall it later. It can help with concept development because being able to see the information as a visual and as text can solidify the information and make it more understandable. It can also help with problem solving skills because it can help people who have trouble learning see the visuals and they can tie the images to that when they are taking a test or quiz and trying to solve a problem. Microsoft publishes PowerPoint. I would use this software in my classroom by presenting new topics as a slideshow presentation.
